Eye-Opening Canadian Ban on DXM Cough Syups

What’s considered safe by some is not considered safe by all. In Canada, Dextromethorphan (DXM) cough syrups and medications have been banned for ages 6 and under. A new report conducted by Health Canada gives a look into the reasons for this ban and also tells consumers what to look for on their cough syrup and cold medication labels, as there could be serious side effects for children 6 and under.

This reaffirms that cough medication for children is an issue every parent should be taking seriously. If you have thoughts on this matter, please weigh in.
